Levi is 15 weeks old... 2 weeks and one day shy of 4 months. It's a little early for solid foods by all standards. I know about all the debates... obesity vs. oral motor skills, sleeping through the night vs. child led weaning... and the list goes on. No, Levi hasn't doubled his birth weight yet... no, he can't sit up unsupported yet... No, he doesn't act interested in our food. He does eat a ton though. We are creeping up on 34 ounces of formula a day... and let me tell you, they don't make bottles bigger than 9 ounces! But to be honest, our decision to let Levi eat oatmeal today was based on one thing...
We wanted to make a memory. And that makes it okay.
Mom, why are you sticking this thing in my mouth?
Hmm... it's not so bad.
I changed my mind... I don't like it, okay?
OH crap... she's going to do it again.
Daddy, I thought you heard me say I didn't like it.
Seriously? More?
See this face... it's the face of I DON'T LIKE IT.
This thing is freaking awesome though.
Maybe you should just let me do this myself... I'm seriously better at it than you.
What did I tell you... I can do it BY MYSELF!
