My Classroom!
Here are the pictures of my classroom that I've been promising.
I'm sorry my blog has been neglected... but this week has kicked my butt. I also have been slacking on running... shame on me. Next week I'm going to be better! Anyways, here are the pictures... more updates to come later this weekend!

Home At Last
William has been working nights (and sleeping at home) for the past 3 weeks. He is finally going to be done tomorrow. He got a raise effective August 1st, so some time in the next month we will reap the benefits of that.
Tomorrow I have orientation for new "teachers" starting at 7:30am. Who picked that time? Some crazy person was like... we need to whip these teacher's into shape... let's make them wake up at the crack of dawn on their FIRST DAY! Lucky for me, I'm getting paid for extra time because my contract doesn't start until the 17th! Whoo hoo!
Richardson is such a good district. They are very techno-savvy... So savvy that every employee has their own laptop and "cell phone". The cell phone looks like a cordless phone, but it has a super range from it's base... so the teachers can take it to the play ground, the carpool line, where ever! It's pretty sweet. I will also have a projector in my room to hook up to my computer and a docking station so I can use a real key board and screen with my laptop. Also, depending on which high school program the kids are in, they get netbooks. How cool is that? I love technology and I love that schools are embracing it. Kids MUST learn to function with technology in this day and age.
All right well I will keep you posted on our lives in the coming weeks of "school" starting... it's going to be exciting. Well for me at least.

Glad to have survived... A walk on friday and then another run on Sunday! Whoo hooo!

Poptarts
Well I found out William like strawberry poptarts with sprinkles and cinnamon and brown sugar poptarts.
I like them too.
I can't tell you how happy this makes me.
It's the little things in life.

Quote of the Day
My client is working on s/z in sentences....
Me: Okay, your word is "girls". Make up a sentence using it.
Kid: Girls suck.
Me: That's not a very nice sentence.
Kid: Well it's working on my s's now isn't it.
Me: (laughing out loud) You could have said "Girls are silly".
Kid: Maybe next time.
(All the time said with a very thick lisp.)
LOVE IT.

Noteworthy Blogs
Check out Jonna's new blog Ewe Fit! It's her new fitness/heath/wellness inspired blog. Anyways, I could tell you about it but that would ruin the fun. Click the picture here or in my sidebar to go visit :)

Okay, also I started a speech therapy blog a little while back, but it never went anywhere. But that's about to change. I'm changing my MO and switching it up to match my new job. It will probably be a good laugh a lot of the time, with some usefullness thrown in.

Check them out... you won't be sorry!
