Dr. Appointment

I went to the OB with my mom yesterday.  It was an anticlimactic appointment.  It lasted about 10 minutes. He just listened to the heartbeat and that was pretty much it.  Maybe I should have done the optional NT scan so we could have seen the baby another time before October... Oh well.

So out next appointments are set for Sept 30 and October 3rd.  I will have a regular OB check up on Sept 30 and then we will go for an in depth ultrasound and gender check on the 3rd.

I'm still on Team Pink and William is still on Team Blue.  But I have this strange feeling that I'm gonna be wrong.  It's probably because I bought a dress a few weeks ago.

Off to go shopping! Bought some baby things last night! More to come!

13 weeks

I'm sorry I've been so delinquent in blogging.

Life caught up with me and I've been oh, so tired.

I suddenly feel even less pregnant than I had been feeling.  Nothing much has changed other than I can definitely feel myself "growing".

Bump watch:
There is beginning to be a bump.  The consensus is that when I'm wearing a dress it's noticeable and when I'm wearing jeans/shorts it's not. I have a bump picture and I'll upload it soon.

The baby:
The baby is 3 inches long and the size of a medium shrimp.  It weighs almost an ounce. If the baby is a girl there is now more than 2 million eggs in its ovaries.

Symptoms:
Cramps are gone... still have a sort of blah feeling about food in general.  I've been fairly tired... but all teachers are this time of year.  My chest doesn't hurt nearly as bad anymore.

Next appointment is on FRIDAY! My mom is going with me since William is out of town! Yay!

This weekend my mom and I are going to pick out baby furniture! So exciting!

Heartbeat at 11 weeks

This is a video that William took of our little baby's heartbeat.  It's just of the monitor because the baby is still located a little too low for public view.  We bought a home fetal heart monitor for $50 and it has provided me with a lot of piece of mind.  It's a little difficult to pin down our little squirming caterpillar right now, but soon it will be a breeze to listen to it whenever we want! 

So sorry about the mess with merging my blogs.  The merge caused me not to be able to post anything for a day and also sent a lot of emails! Yikes. 

I'll be back with a full 11 week update in a little while.

Thoughts?

I'm thinking of combining my personal/family blog and my baby blog.  I think I can merge the two without any problems... I'm just wondering what yall think?
Should I keep them separate? Or combine?

BABIES!

10 weeks

I'm 10 weeks pregnant today.

Not much has changed from last week.  I'm mostly just feeling quite scared that the baby won't make it to my next appointment.  I ordered a fetal heart monitor.  Hopefully I'll be able to use it in between appointments to listen to the baby's heartbeat. I'll feel alot better that way.

Bump watch:
Just pudge.  From eating too many marshmallows.  Not from the baby... yet.

The baby:
Baby is the size of a kumquat weighing less than a quarter of an ounce.  Toe and finger nails are growing this week! The vital organs are all functioning including the liver which is making blood!

Symptoms:
My greatest symptoms are extreme fatigue, uterine cramps, and food aversions/cravings.

Next appointment:
My next appointment is on August 26th... counting the days. 24 from today.
