Levi,
Today you are one week old. Words can't express how much your daddy and I love you. The last week has been a blur, but mostly a blur of good. You are worth every second of pain and sadness that might come between all those amazing times. Some of our favorite memories from this week are obviously you coming into this world, taking you home from the hospital, me watching your daddy change your first poopy diaper (it was hilarious... remind me to tell you about it one day), you marathon pooping explosion with the grand finale of covering me in poop, giving you your first bath, and just hanging around the house with you! We have faced a few struggles this week mostly with your feeding. Your daddy and I have discussed it in depth and have decided that as long as you are happy we don't care what you eat (breast milk or forumla). I'm not a fan of breast feeding, but vow to be a pumping mama so that you can get the good nutrients that you need to grow up big and strong.
You have renewed our faith in God's plan for our lives, and yours. We are so blessed to be your parents and we will do everything in our power to be the best parents possible.
We love you, baby boy.
Levi's Stats:
Eating: 50mLs of formula and 20mLs of breast milk every 4 hours (about 2 ounces)
Sleeping: So much!
Crying: Very little... only when we are too slow with our crazy supplementing setup (give us a break... it involves taping a tube to my chest and switching between two kinds of milk... it's slightly exhausting)
Most common phrase heard around our house: Oh my GOSH his hair is RED! (We literally say this like 20 times a day)
