inching forward

We have finally reached the 70's. This weekend marked the passing of 80 days until the wedding. It was a very exciting and eventful weekend. My cousins and aunts on my dad's side gave me a bridal shower on Saturday. My good friend Jonna Lamb Sonnier came in to stay with me for all the festivities and that really made everything better! The shower was a ton of fun, but I don't have all the pictures yet, so I'll have to post the rest when I get them. It was a tea party. My grandmother painted special tea cups for each shower attendee. It was also china themed and I got 10 place settings of my china, along with 4 serving pieces, 2 place settings of my everyday dishes and William's favorite a single cup coffee maker! All of my female cousins attended the shower which is quite an accomplishment! Sunday we had a huge party at the bay for all the Robey's in town. It was really a lot of fun. I forget what it's like to hang out with all of them. I can't wait for the wedding so that we all get to dance the night away!

Monday morning my mom and I got up early and put the finishing touches on all of the invitations. It was super exciting to see them all ready to go. She mailed them Tuesday morning and I've heard rumors that some people already received theirs! As the responses start rolling in I can get going on all the other little things I have left to do before the wedding!

School is going well. Really no major assignments yet. In practicum, I got to do an assessment of a kid. The parents already indicated they saw big issues, but they wanted a formal assessment done. They were unfortunately right. The child has fallen behind by much more than one standard deviation.

William is coming in this weekend! We are really excited to spend some alone time together since all our time ahs been filled with craziness otherwise. My semester is starting to shape up and it appears that I will be going to Houston every other weekend starting with the 26th of September!

I can't believe we are really getting married in 79 days. It just doesn't seem real. This next week is the engineering career fair at ATM so please pray for William as he hopefully finds a job for real life! We are both really ready to have God reveal to us what life will be like after we get married. As of right now, we have no idea. And I'm not going to lie. That's a little bit scary.

It's getting so close! I will pray for William and his job hunt. My new diet is going well. Thanks for asking :)
