Tonights Run

It was 102 degrees when I started my run tonight.... ugh.  Death.
Here's how it panned out.  Already getting faster!

Glad to have survived... A walk on friday and then another run on Sunday! Whoo hooo!

Poptarts

Pop-Tart Brown Sugar Cinnamon BoxImage via Wikipedia
Have you ever realized something that you have in common with someone that makes you so happy?

Well I found out William like strawberry poptarts with sprinkles and cinnamon and brown sugar poptarts.

I like them too.

I can't tell you how happy this makes me.

It's the little things in life.

Quote of the Day

My client is working on s/z in sentences....
Me: Okay, your word is "girls".  Make up a sentence using it.
Kid: Girls suck.
Me: That's not a very nice sentence.
Kid: Well it's working on my s's now isn't it.
Me: (laughing out loud) You could have said "Girls are silly".
Kid: Maybe next time.

(All the time said with a very thick lisp.)

LOVE IT.

Noteworthy Blogs

Check out Jonna's new blog Ewe Fit! It's her new fitness/heath/wellness inspired blog.  Anyways, I could tell you about it but that would ruin the fun.  Click the picture here or in my sidebar to go visit :)

Okay, also I started a speech therapy blog a little while back, but it never went anywhere.  But that's about to change.  I'm changing my MO and switching it up to match my new job.  It will probably be a good laugh a lot of the time, with some usefullness thrown in.

Run Keeper

I found a great iPhone app to help me track my running.  It's called Run Keeper and it was free.  Basically you turn on the GPS on your phone and it tracks where you are and how fast you are going.  It calculates info for pace, calories, mileage, and even elevation.  You can even listen to music on your phone while it's on (which speaks for the iPhone's multitasking  capabilities).  Today's info is a little off because I started it on our walk down to the lake, which isn't included in our "official" program. Best this is that it takes the info from your "activity" and sends it to a website where you can access it for better viewing.  Of course you can also access it all on you phone as well.

This is exactly the type of thing that makes me love my phone. Isn't it awesome!
